Email suggested text:

Dear Councilmembers,

I am writing to express my strong support for Councilmember Dan Strauss’ proposed Amendment 6 to the Families, Education, Preschool, and Promise Levy. This amendment would allow for additional investments in the Environmental Education Program (EE Program) to ensure all nine positions are funded.

The EE Program plays a vital role in enriching the lives of Seattle residents across all ages and communities. Programs offered through the Discovery Park Visitor Center—such as the accessibility shuttle to the beach, Nature Kids Preschool, summer camps, school partnerships, specialized programs, community collaborations, and public events—are deeply interconnected. These services cannot and should not be separated or supported in a piecemeal fashion.

Fully funding all the EE Program positions ensures the continuation of impactful, equitable, and accessible environmental education throughout the city. I urge you to support Amendment 6 and make a clear investment in the environmental and educational future of Seattle.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
